I have always been fascinated with the WCML from an early age. My interest started when I was a child in the

early 1970’s when on trips to see my relatives down in Stoke we would drive past a section of the WCML near

Congelton. Later in my teens I would travel to Carlisle with mates to spend a day trainspotting at the station.

For years I have tried unsuccessfully to capture the WCML in miniature but often got frustrated with the lack of suitable products available from the model manufactures. When I started building Potters Lane I received a lot of interest in my buildings so I put together a small website and had quite a good response from other modellers. My aim with Westcoast Miniatures is to provide the average modeller the opportunity to build the WCML in miniature and offer a range of buildings and accessories that can be tailor made to the individuals needs.

I would also like to develop this website as an online resource for WCML modelling so if you would like to contribute anything I would like to hear from you.
