AC lines was our old exhibition layout and was an attempt to show different parts of the UK 25kv electrified network. To do this the layout was made up of a series of self contained scenes or modules that bolt together to form one long run. Although many modules were planned only two modules were finished these being Potters Lane and Trent Valley. Potters Lane is mentioned elsewhere on the website as it was our original exhibition layout. Potters was rebuilt to a better specification so that it could be used as part of the AC lines project. The second module was Trent Valley and was based on the section of WCML just north of Rugby and even featured a section of Rugby’s flyover. Main line trains were fed onto the layout by two 6’6” selector plates located at each end of the set up.
