Originally conceived in Feb 2009 as part of the YMR forum modular layout Potters Lane was later incorporated into the AC lines exhibition layout.
This 6’ x 2’ module was based on the book Britain's New Railway by O S Nock and depicts a local station in the potteries that was rebuilt during the 1960’s electrification scheme. Behind the station was a small loco shed based on Crewe that not only boasted a detailed interior but also a working loco lift. Viewers got a closer look into the shed via the live video picture displayed on one of the monitors above the layout. A second camera looked down from above so that wheel chair users could get a better view of the layout. As well as the operating loco lift viewers could also control a scale model of a CCTV camera that was mounted on the end of the island platform.
