Wemblesden Park - 00 gauge exhibition layout

Wemblesden Park is our new exhibition layout based on North London. The layout measures 16’ x 8’  and features a 4 track main line that is controlled automatically by the MERG superbloc system. This means that there is always a constant stream of trains moving across the front of the layout. The small TMD is a smaller version of Willesden and not only features a working loco lift but also electrically operating doors allowing locos to access the shed. At the other end of the layout is the station based on Wembley. Next to the station is the large power box with its detailed relay room and fully working ‘NX’ panel upstairs. Situated in the middle of the layout is an operating wash plant where trains of empty coaching stock pass through hauled by class 82/83 locos. The layout has been designed to entertain the viewer and hopefully show what typical workings would have been like in the area during the 1980’s /90’s period of British rail.

The layout  is still a work in progress although operational.
